Credit bureau operations were started in Barbados in November of 1993, where CCBL is better known as Credi-Check. Caribbean Credit Bureau Ltd. (CCBL) was incorporated on October 14, 2004 in St. Lucia under the International Companies Act.  The Registered Office of CCBL is 10 Colony House, John Compton Highway, Castries , St. Lucia.

The Barbados office is responsible for administration and customer service while processing and management of the databases are done in Trinidad.

The St. Lucia credit bureau was officially opened by Prime Minister, The Honourable Dr. Kenny Anthony in June of 2004.  The St. Lucia credit bureau is done as a joint venture with the St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce Industry and Agriculture, which is St. Lucia’s largest private sector representative organization.

The Dominica operations were officially opened by the Acting Prime Minister, The Honourable Ambrose George in July 2005.  Our operations have been greatly assisted by the Dominica Cooperatives League, which is the representative body of the credit unions in Dominica.

CCBL has been providing training and consultation services in most of the English speaking Caribbean island as well as in St. Maarten, and is in the process of expanding the range of CCBL services in the region.
